In 2014, after the passing of my mother, my father, who lived with significant vision loss, lost his primary caregiver. As the nearest family member, I stepped in and spent the next decade navigating care alongside dedicated professionals who were compassionate, but often overextended, under-supported, and working across fragmented systems.
When I relocated to Canada in 2023, I saw the same pattern: families trying to stay informed, caregivers carrying growing pressure, and care organizations managing complex operations across disconnected tools.
After my father's passing in January 2024, I committed to building Medi-Aide — a care operations platform designed to support caregivers, modernize agency workflows, and improve continuity across home care, residential care, and family-supported care.
